rant on the NME…and into the Gallaghers.

beliefdoesnotexistencemake:

Rubbish. Fucking rubbish. Regardless of it’s pop synth shit content and the Kaiser Chiefs, the way it thinks it can sell purely because it pitches a Gallagher against another is fucking ridiculous. how dare it put Beady Eye as worst band and LG ‘villain of the year’, yet nominate Noel for a fuck load of things.

I cannot see how Liam Gallagher can be nominated villain!? He’s a hero. His work (and Noel’s) for the TCT has seemingly gone un-noticed?! People are still willing to accept Liam is a little arrogant swine like he was back in the days of ‘Definitely Maybe’…I’m not knocking his attitude at all back then. Fuck! I’d have done exactly the same. It provided comedy gold for everyone not willing to take him seriously, including Liam himself. I think what winds me up the most about this all is the apres-Cathay Pacific flight to Australia when Liam said when asked stupid fucking questions by a reporter.

Reporter ‘who told you to shut up?’

Liam ‘Some pan head who wants stabbing up the arse…with a pick axe.’

As if anyone could take that seriously apart from the media?! Stupid fucking rascals! Rubbish! Still, 15 or so years on, Liam is still portrayed like that. Why..? It’s obvious he’s mellowed out. He’s a father, husband, musician, entrepreneur, and charitarian…(is that a word..? You know what I mean).

He conducts himself very gentleman-like in interviews, and gives as much time back to the fans as he can at gigs. Having hugged him myself; I know how much he cares about every single one of his audience nowadays. I can’t think of anything worse than having a shit load of sweaty front-rowers trying to pick my nose and stroke my hair. Liam, however, seems to thrive off it. Not a single shit is given by that man. Admirable to you and me? Of course! The media’s opinion?

‘Liam Gallagher is a massive gobshite look at him thinking he’s amazing blah blah blah’

Liam’s problem is that he’s always been brutally honest about anything anyone has ever asked him. Sadly, in today’s society, being honest isn’t the main rule to adhere to when being asked a question. Fucking rubbish? Of course. Never rude to one who has dis-respected him; he stands up for himself and isn’t beaten down.

———————————————————————————————————————

Noel Gallagher. The greatest songwriter of our generation, fact. Who can argue? Massive pre-menstrual gobshite? Fact. The reason for Oasis’ demise? I believe so. Currently making over-rated music? I believe that too. What really made me switch Gallagher sides, was how Noel treated Andy Bell. How Noel can blame Andy for not getting involved is beyond me. What a massive dickhead. He claimed himself Andy & Gem saved the band and kept it going; yet doesn’t take long after the break-up to declare his already obvious undying love for Gem and avoiding answering questions about Andy, until finally breaking and saying stuff such as…

‘Being a solo act is not like being in a band. It’s not like I’m just the bassist and get to do NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. Just turn up, play the bass, and become a multi millionaire. I’ve got to do everything now.’

What a massive twat. I’m sure I could rant all day about this, and how unfairly Andy has been ill-treated by Noel, but at least he had the beatles & stones to respond to him, something Noel probably didn’t expect. How can the NME not even think Noel for the ‘Villain of the year’ prize? Is it because you like the taste of his balls because you’re all NME readers yourselves and like to re-gurgitate the same old shit every time you 3d-glasses-with-the-lenses-popped-out, trilby wearing idiots?!

I’m sure Noel’s under some sort of pressure, and he knows his record isn’t as good as it was expected to be…hence the inclusion of Oasis songs live. Tell me now; is there a better tune on HFB that’s as good as ‘Four Letter Word’, ‘Millionaire’, or ‘The Roller’?

Is there fuck!

and as if fucking Bombay Bicycle Club are up for ‘Best British Band’ and The Vaccines are up for ‘Best album’…rubbish. Rubbish.

Live Forever. x
